At InVision MFM, we’re well known for providing high quality ultrasounds at OB/GYN practices across the country. But, have you ever wondered how InVision MFM works or how we provide our services on the very same day as your patient’s regularly scheduled appointment? Well, we’ve broken it down for you into a simple five-step process:

It all begins with a consultation. The obstetrician meets with the patient during their gynecological exam or pregnancy-related visit. If they determine that an ultrasound is necessary or advisable, they proceed to the second step.
Prospective ultrasound patients are referred to the InVision MFM reception desk, which is conveniently located within your practice. One of our friendly team members will speak with them about the services they need and answer any questions they may have.
Once the patient is ready to schedule an ultrasound, we take care of the entire prior authorization process. From working with the patient’s insurance company to discussing co-pays and other financial matters, we’ll be there to help and support your patient.
After the prior authorization process is complete, the patient is escorted to the exam room for their ultrasound. The ultrasound is always performed by one of our knowledgeable, experienced ultrasound technicians, all of whom are certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine (AIUM). Our ultrasound technologists are also committed to maintaining high standards of care and are Nuchal Translucency (NT) certified. With them, you can rest assured that your patients are in the best, most capable hands.
Following the ultrasound, one of our experienced team members reads and analyzes the ultrasound scans. For OB ultrasounds, a board-certified maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) doctor completes the analysis. Gynecological ultrasounds are read by a board-certified radiologist. In either case, detailed ultrasound reports are provided to your office within 24 hours.
